please.

Normally we just exchange selection packs for the kids, but want to do better then that this year and also a small present for her. her dd is nearly 4.

She has just split from her partner and has basically had quite an awful year.

I dont have loads of spare cash but could probably find up to £15(max) on gifts for the 2 of them.

Cheap ideas please.

A board game that they could play together, with a packet of popping corn or some sweets?

Vouchers for a day out for the 2 of them - nothing expensive, just a local farm or something.

A homemade cake and 2 nice plates and mugs?

book a phot session with a local photographer for the 2 of them that omes with a nice photo. We go to one on MK that does the photos for £5 as they're just starting out in business. One of my friends husband left her 9 mths ago and she loved getting pro pictures done of just her and her dd.

a box full of little treats? eg an Options chocolate sachet, a face pack, some marshmallows, a cheap DVD (there are lots on sale at PLAY.com for £5 each), maybe some beauty sample sizes if you can get any, and little things for her DD - notelets/envelopes and coloured pens for playing 'post', stickers, sweets. I think you could fill a small box for the pair of them to share.

did you see this suggestion on the Promotional and bargains thread, with free delivery as well!!

5 Charlie & Lola Books and 5 CDs for 6.99

the Book People often have really good offers like that.
