Park Christmas savings

I’ve joined park this year to spread the cost of Christmas and wondered if what other peoples experience of park are . Which gift cards / vouchers have you found to be the best

I've used Park for years. I used to be in quite a bit of debt so it was difficult to save money and not dip into it during the year. I'm almost out of debt now but I enjoy getting gift cards in October/November to spend so I still do it now.

I've had the Love2shop vouchers and gift cards but they're only usable for certain retailers and mostly on the high street so I found them a bit restrictive. They're probably not the best idea right now anyway with so many high street stores shutting down.

I mostly shop online these days (predominantly on Amazon) so I go for the Your Choice cards. They're not exactly a bargain as you have to pay an extra 10% for them, but you can use them anywhere almost like a normal credit card - Amazon, supermarkets and I've even used it for paying an unexpected bill. I also get a Marks and Spencers card, Sainsburys card for food shopping, and ASOS and JD Sports cards as part of teenage DS's presents.

I wouldn’t use the Christmas club companies after the year one went bust and everyone lost their money.

Lots of small building societies and credit unions offer “Christmas savings accounts” which are designed similarly but the money is secure and when you get it you can spend it anywhere (including vouchers without a penalty)

Agree, I'd look at a savings account. There are many that require notice to withdraw so you can't just dip in and take money ad hoc.
Check moneysavingexpert site, they'll recommend the best accounts.

minesapintoftea. Park are now protected so people can't lose their money after that place went bust several years ago.

I thought Park was the one that went bust. Huh.

It was Farepak that went bust, there are safeguards in place now, Park is perfectly safe.

I have used park for years , i have never had any doubts or problems with them at all .
The love 2 shop vouchers aren't what i need now so i will be having the your choice card and paying 10% extra.
I also save for christmas but find its too much of a temptation to dip in when you need money , with park you can't do that.
