Help need ideas for 4 year old DS....

Argh DS has recently had his 4th birthday and had no problem coming up with ideas then.

Now Christmas is on the way and I haven't a clue what to get and have grandparents asking for ideas as well!

He's a typical boy.... what's the in toy at the moment? Help!

What did he have for his birthday? Lego is the biggest hit in our house with DS who was 4 in August.

I don't have a ds, boys in my dd's class seem to like playmobil. For a 4th birthday I got one of them a 'bug catcher' and 'veiwer' from my local Marie Curie Charity Shop which was apparently a big hit (and v. cheap).

K'nex is fantastic, my 4 year old loves it, he plays with it for at least an hour a day.

meccano - he may be getting some for Christmas

DS wants a scooter and some in the night garden toys so Father Christmas is bringing him those.

He would also like a triangle (as in music one).

I struggled with what to suggest to my Mum for him, he's got a huge box of lego from when I was little but he struggles with it atm. In the end I decided to venture out into the world of Playmobil. Have ordered the Cargo Shipfrom John Lewis as it has 25% off and it's free postage at the moment and I think he will enjoy playing with it in the bath as well. Someone has posted a link to a very reduced Playmobil construction set somewhere.

Nephew aged 4 (5 next month) is mad about transformers at the moment. Also wants a castle.

oh yes transformers and power rangers are also a major feature in ds play.
