She wants an MP3 player with a screen that she can see videos on - I have absolutely no idea about MP3s - can anyone tell me what I should be buying? Please!

She is 10. How many songs and/or videos would a 1gb hold?

I would think that both would be too much for christmas. Would save one for her birthday.

Don't really have a set price - all depends on what they are wanting and how cheap I can shop around for it . She knows if she gets an expensive present she doesn't get anything else (apart from choccies!).

This one is a fab bargain and would be my choice for a 10 year old - unless they had their heart set on a true ipod. Has all the features and looks slim too.

I would recommend some speakers like the ones below so that she can listen to it in her room without the headphones.

MP3 is for music and MP4 is video.

I've used play.com for years and only had to ever return one item and had no problems doing so. Have had their own brands before but not an MP3 - had no problems with quality. At that price for music and videos dont think you can go wrong.
