Any hits for 8 year old girl?

We have a birthday coming up. Please share your hits. Must be under £100.

My daughter has most things, so the more random/ unusual the better.

Thanks

Does your daughter like gaming/Roblox? Plushies of her favourite characters? Bendy, Piggy and Among Us plushies were a hit here. My 8 yo also likes fidget toys, slime (Amazon have some fab Elmer’s kits around the £10 mark) and craft stuff - this year we got her an Instax camera and scrap book making set which she loved

Has she got a (fake) Oodie?

HairyToity · 03/01/2021 19:19

I don't do slime! She's not into gaming, or plushies. She'd probably like an oodie. Not that she's ever heard of one, or asked for one.

The books 'All about Me' and 'The Book of Me' with some new sparkly pens went down very well as they are books to read and write in. Along with a lock up diary and some Sylvanian Families.

Big hits here (7&9yo girls)

  • Snuggle cushion from Dunelm.
  • metal detector
  • chemistry set and electronics set (9yo). Youngest liked the 'myo lip balm' but it was a bit simplistic really for their age group. (Just mixing the colour into the base). Both really enjoy 'kitchen science' sort of stuff, like making bath bombs or edible goo, or instant ice cream (we have a book of recipes)
-Anything Harry Potter

To add, their main gift was camping/expedition gear, but that might be a niche. They like going on expeditions with DH, especially in the canoe.

Popcorn machine

Unexpected hit: children's embroidery set (for 9 year old)

Books went down well
Cricket set (this will depend on girl and garden space obviously but any relevant sports equipment)
Baking set

For group of children 7-11 Scoubidou (scoobie strings) went down surprisingly well

Lol cozy coupe car with doll. Rock painting set, fashion design art set have been the biggest hits.

Tbh the hits were the gifts dd asked for (books, Playmobil and microphone).
She also received a few extra presents from other family members but hasn't been that interested in them (apart from Monopoly).

She's asked for walkie talkies for her birthday so she can do socially distanced playdates outdoors when allowed. Cracking idea I thought!

GiveMeAllTheGin8 · 04/01/2021 10:43

Hits for nearly 8 year old dd were a Norris nuts hoodie , heelys, insta camera , Polly pocket house , marble run and lego.
My other dd is nearly 3 and older dd seems to get great enjoyment out of the peppa wooden house 🤷‍♀️😂

Blibbler · 04/01/2021 11:03

A proper yo-yo with ball bearings was the best value hit of Xmas and there's plenty of YouTube videos for beginner trick tutorials.

Junior cluedo is also driving me crazy and has been played almost daily but I can see it's a game she's quickly going to outgrow

usedandabusedx1000 · 04/01/2021 13:36

Honestly? The little presents were the best for us!!! Diamond painting, Spirograph, bath bombs and a zip up make up bag with their names on and some cheap lip glosses and nail varnishes!!!! What a waste of money everything else was 🤣

usedandabusedx1000 · 04/01/2021 13:36

Oh and the board game break free!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 04/01/2021 13:38
