Is it just me who has been buying stuff for next year in the (online) sales?

I've started too. A few kids in the family I've done all their birthdays and Christmas presents for the next 12 months (really chuffed with that - lovely things at a bargain price). Also stocked up on wrapping paper and Christmas cards which hopefully should last us for Christmas 2022 too. Also started on DD's stocking fillers and couple of other family members stocking fillers.

I couldn't resist the sales online (tier 4 so can't go walk around the shops). I do agree with PP that things are selling faster and going out of stock because of covid and an increase in online shopping.

I've got my ds his Christmas jumper and pyjamas for next year in the sales but I haven't really seen anything else I like the look of this year. The sales didn't really seem as good this year online and I'm in tier 4 so can't go to physical shops. Hopefully when they are up and open again I can snag some bargains.

I do every year.

So far have 9 craft sets from the works for £36, some Toiletries from superdrug and bits from claires.

I have 3 kids, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 3 sisters, my ex mil, my parents and my gran to buy for. So I start early 🤣

Argos have lots of good deals on Lego, Duplo and Playmobil though not in stock at any branches near me and unavailable for delivery but may be of use to someone!

I picked up the Playmobile hospital/police set in Tesco for £8.75 today which I'll keep by for my nephew's Christmas. Also got some wooden train set add ons which were reduced and I'll keep them for my daughter's Christmas or birthday.

I buy throughout the year and went a bit overboard for my daughter so have kept some presents back for next Christmas Xmas Smile and have realised that less is more so definitely won't buy as much next time!

I bought some Christmas jumpers in the Next sale too, not as big a choice this year.

I've got a few bits from Boux Avenue and M&S. I paid £7.99 for yearly next day delivery from Boux. It was so worth it, any stocking fillers like novelty socks or eye masks for a few quid are sent next day delivery. I didn't have to worry about bulking up my order to get free delivery.
I got round 6 sets of bargain pyjamas through the year.

I’ve caved! I love getting some bits in the jan sale so I had a proper look today & have purchased, ghost perfume set for sil, revolution make up for dd & dn, watch for dd. I can relax for a few months now! I love popping to the boots sale but I’ve missed out online.

Daisy829 · 03/01/2021 20:45

I’ve just ordered some happy socks for dh too

justanotherneighinparadise · 03/01/2021 20:53

I’ve tried and have got some bits. Online sale shopping is just crap for Christmas pyjamas etc. Everything always says Out of Stock which is why I normally go to the shops themselves 🤦🏻‍♀️

Daisy829 · 03/01/2021 20:55

I agree @justanotherneighinparadise I like getting stocking fillers in the sales but it’s not working this year. Hopefully there will be more sales when we are released

Daisy829 · 04/01/2021 19:13

I did it! I ventured to boots this evening. Lovely and quiet, lots of stock & I purchased some nice bits. Happy now.
