Never too early to start thinking about next year... dd will be 11

OP posts:
thaegumathteth · 26/12/2020 23:42

Personalised Starbucks mug
Selfie light that clips onto her phone
Magnetic rings
Fidget toys
American candy
So... body spray

lucysmam · 27/12/2020 10:19

Personalised stainless steel drinking straw - someone posted them on the bargain thread & they were only a couple of pounds.

And some of those re-usable ice cubes. She loves ice in drinks but we often forget to fill the tray.

Mummydoctor · 27/12/2020 10:28

11 and 9 year old boys here. Bookmarks (specific to their interests), Star Wars hand sanitiser bottles that clip onto bags, new swim cap, goggles and slider socks (they swim for a club). Also spitfire keyring and an old wartime coin.

snugglyblanket · 27/12/2020 10:42

DD(12) loved:
Little pack of cupcake erasers
Smiggle eraser
Mini nail files
Toblerone

Not in stocking but we also had the reusable straws mentioned above, which went down well, and a box of American candy. Her favourite gifts were anything arty and stuff for her room (we decorated her room for her birthday this year so changed the colour of her accessories). And a selfie stick 😂

ZenNudist · 27/12/2020 10:46

Watching because ds1 is same age. This year they got little scratch art notelets from Amazon which are quite cool.

BeaLola · 27/12/2020 11:41

Everyone loved the engraved metal straws (were £1.50 each) from DS13, me and my brother early 50s

DS loved his led strip lights, extra long iPhone charger cable, contigo mug , salted caramel hot chocolate flakes ,

BusySittingDown · 27/12/2020 11:48

Phone case, lush lip scrub, chocolate coins, chocolate Santa figure (never too old for chocolate), cheap necklace from Claire's Accessories, small game (festive Name That Tune with Kazoos), nail polish, hair scrunches, socks, lip balms...

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 27/12/2020 16:46

Dd1 was 12, she loved kukubird makeup bag (she will use for sanitary products), kukubird leggings, kawaii stationary and accessories from blippo, pin badges from wish, box of nerds, lego minifigure, mini lego polybag, scratch art, stranger things socks, fake cactus, fingerless gloves, space jam beanie hat, pusheen plush clip for her bag..

(Kukubird has a huge sale, well worth a look for pre teens, my dd wears age 12-13 and I buy her the adult leggings/pyjamas etc plus they fit me as an adult 10-12 on bottom)

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 27/12/2020 16:47

Oh and those stretchy choker necklaces :)

unexpectedthird · 27/12/2020 16:56

My 12 year old particularly liked their duct tape this year.😂🙈

Other hits were hot chocolate stirrers, a nanoblocks kit and copic pens.

froomeonthebroom · 27/12/2020 17:15

Got 9 and 14 yo boys. They loved milkshake straws, puzzle cube, slipper socks, hot choc stirrers.

Passthecake30 · 27/12/2020 17:19

Ds (12) liked scotch tape, and a can of lynx
Dd (11) liked a Xmas style beanie boo (howliday?)
Both liked their turtle bottles (like Chilly bottles)
Tbh I put boring practical things in as they don’t really “do” much these days. Lots of sweets, some selotape, pens, pencils, shower gel.

Lindy2 · 27/12/2020 17:24

Chocolates
A tube of Pringles
Stationary
A 2020 Christmas decoration
Christmas socks
Lip gloss
Hair bands and hair clips
A Friends keying
Shower gel

That's about all I can remember. She seemed pleased with everything.

bjjgirl · 27/12/2020 17:25

DD9 liked the suduko book, the post it notes, the seeds, the nice notebook, the beanie boo, the bath bomb, and goggles. Plus the friendship bracelet kit.

Also a cheese shaped like a reindeer. It was her favourite type (red Leicester)

Cuddly toy

Ds 12 loved his boiled egg opener (saw that suggestion on here so thanks to whoever it was!) Pringles socks (primark bargain!), hit chocolate bombs and his lynx smellies set.

Groundhogdayzz · 27/12/2020 18:52

LED remote control lights, oversize hoody and Harry Potter stuff (mystery wand, stationary, cup).

lucysmam · 27/12/2020 21:20

@Aroundtheworldin80moves where did the cheese come from? Red Leicester is dd2's favourite cheese too!

FoxInABox · 27/12/2020 22:05

My DDs 10 & 13 both loved those Ramune drinks with the marble in, also little mini cooking sets similar to yummy nummies (but they seem to have disappeared!) think the sets were Japanese that I got, clear lip gloss, towelling hair band to keep hair dry when cleaning face, Apple Card/Robux card, lush bath bomb/bubble bars.
Our big hit this year was a hamper with their favourite snacks & drinks in. They’ve asked for one next year already Xmas Grin

FoxInABox · 27/12/2020 22:06

*hamper obviously wasn’t in the stocking though!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 27/12/2020 22:27

@lucysmam I actually bought it in Asda, but it's from the Wensleydale Creamery. They have a range of cheeses in different festive shapes. We got one years ago when she a toddler too.
