Did anyone else forget to put some presents under the tree?

Every year I do it, I always forget something. But last night I confidently said to DH that I was certain I hadn’t forgotten anything this year, it was all there. Half an hour later I’m jumping out of bed because I remembered a last minute impromptu buy I bought for DD6.

Come to unwrapping gifts everyone is happy, lots of things being opened, all the extended families gifts are here this year too, so there is a bit to get through. But DD8 seems to have finished while the others are still going, she’s also eyeing up DD6s gifts, but I know I got her the same, they must be somewhere, maybe DD3 has opened them. Then I notice as I’m walking around with the traditional black bin bag that a particular toy I got her isn’t there. After racking my brains I start looking through wardrobes thinking where the hell did I put it, only to find a bag full (9 gifts ) of her gifts including the main thing she wanted this year😬

Luckily we have a tree in the play room where I managed to sneak them without being spotted, they were found a short time later 😅

Not any more. I put them all in the one place & write a list on my phone that I quickly check

I couldn’t put them in one place but I do keep a list, I just didnt check it as I thought I was on the ball 🤦‍♀️

Haha I have a collection of birthday cards DH has got for me but he’s still not written.

This year I wasn’t letting him not give me something so I bought some things I really liked and handed them to him with some wrapping paper and sent him off with my DDs who made sure he wrapped them haha He even surprised me with an extra gift.

Me! I had the idea of saving a present for each of the kids until the afternoon then forgot about them.

It's DD's birthday in a few weeks and they both had plenty so hers will wait until then and DS's will probably serve as bribery for some sort of academic achievement....!

There's a wrapped Nintendo Switch somewhere in my house. I can't find it after hiding it.

I chucked it on top of the wardrobe, where I can't see without jumping on the bed, also found all the crayola stuff I'd forgotten I bought, same place..

What a dickhead thing to do.

Half an hour, I had to give her a little nudge into the room, sent her in to find something for me.

My daughters converse lol .... thankfully it's her birthday tomorrow so I'll just wrap them in birthday paper - she hadn't asked for them so it's not like she's missed them; but I fell asleep Christmas Day thinking "why didn't she get excited over the converse?" Then realised I hadn't given them to her ha!

I forgot to wrap one present for dd, a bracelet. I am going to give it to her in her birthday in five months time.

I forgot the christmas eve boxes, going to have new years eve boxes instead! (Was regular pyjamas in favourite characters, hot chocolate bombs and bath bombs!) Nothing overly christmassy!
