Due to worries about meeting dm, we are going to have plenty of ventilation

Ohh it’s -1 here at the moment, it’s a beautiful crisp morning but a tad cold 🥶
Plenty of blankets and hot water bottles/ heated throws and it would be ok for a while though. Enjoy Xmas Smile

It hit 45 in the shade here today so we all ate inside with the aircon on full tilt. The kids ran outside often to jump on the trampoline with the sprinkler on underneath to cool down.
Way too hot here for an outside Christmas.🥵

Where are you Nittersing?

anappleadaykeeps · 25/12/2020 10:27

We were planning to do this in grandparents' garden, before Tier 4 announced (we are South East)

Skipsurvey · 25/12/2020 10:35

I'm South East of Perth in Australia :)

A summer Christmas - bet that's amazing!

Nittersing · 25/12/2020 12:32

Well we don't really have much of a winter here. It doesn't snow at all. I'd prefer something a bit cooler than 45 degrees for Christmas day though. It's just too hot.

rooarsome · 25/12/2020 12:35

My neighbours have set up a gazebo in the back garden (tier 2). Can't say I'd be keen though, it's bitterly cold today!

I met DD in our town square on a bench and we exchanged presents; it was better than nothing and I feel better than for not having seen her.

SantasBritchesSpelleas · 25/12/2020 12:36

Yes, 45 degrees would be a bit much for me. I'm in Yorkshire and I think the hottest it's ever been here recently in summer was 38 degrees and I practically melted! I am middle-aged and subject to hot flushes though Xmas Grin.

It looks as though I will be sharing lunch with 8 others out on the freezing patio. I cannot count the number of layers I have put on!
