Can I use the car boot as a fridge?

I forgot to cancel the Christmas food order so we have a lot of food for 2 people.. atm the fresh food that I can cook with the turkey is filling the fridge because the turkey is massive and our fridge is not.

Can I put the turkey in the car boot and have it not go off?

Yeah while it’s this cold I would think you’ll be fine with this plan.

I’ve got milk in the garage too. DH was a bit Hmm but he doesn’t know there is a velvetiser under the tree and I have a feeling we’ll go through a fair bit.

I’ve put things in a cool box and put it outside the back door before. Smile

I’ve fond memories of my grandad putting the turkey in the car boot on Christmas Eve. It’ll be fine Smile

It'll be fine. It's bloody freezing tonight; outside is colder than our fridge.

Parkandride · 25/12/2020 06:53

I'm treating the garage as a fridge today, its freezing. Car will be fine

BasiliskStare · 25/12/2020 07:02

Yes yes - many has been the year when the turkey went in the boot of the car - no-one poisoned in the Basilisk family thus far Grin

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 25/12/2020 07:55

We've used the garage and an old picnic box outside the back door many times. It's usually colder than the fridge. So long as the cat can't get the stuff open I'm happy with that.
