Cooking a Turkey before Christmas

Does anyone cook their Turkey prior to Christmas Day? I've always cooked it on the day, but this year I want to spend as much time time as possible with the kids and don't want to be stuck in the kitchen - so I'm contemplating cooking it today. I've already made the base for the gravy, and I'll prep the veg tonight.

Do you just cook as normal, then the next day carve and serve cold? Or do you heat again with the gravy in the over prior to serving?

Any tips welcome!

And have a lovely Christmas everyone, regardless of circumstances, I hope you all find some enjoyment in it
