Eve boxes & Xmas stockings & Xmas gift

I am looking for suggestions for eve boxes for a 9-year-old boy & 5-year-old girl. The gifts and stockings are all sorted but I don't know what to put in the eve boxes. I am thinking I would maybe cancel eve boxes this year. I think it's all just overindulgence, isn't it? But I am still eager to hear about ideas. Thanks

Mine get new PJs, which is a tradition passed down from DH. They also get a tree decoration each, hot chocolate and some form of chocolate. We chuck in things like Santa plate/cup, a Christmas book etc that we already have. They love it, and it’s not ‘a marketing concept,’ for us, it’s DHs family tradition going back decades, combined with mine - which is the sniffling/Xmas book/hot chocolate bit.
