Flowers in Christmas list

DS(5) has put flowers on his list for Santa. I'm not sure what to do with it but it seems like a nice idea and a change from cars and superheroes. My thoughts include:

Couple of sprigs of silk flowers in his stocking - might be able to get from Wilko's or similar? He and his brother could play with them but maybe a short lived interest? Though you never know what they'll take to. More tat kicking about the house.

Fresh bunch to leave in vase on fire place for him to find when we come down Christmas morning? Where would I put them on Christmas Eve out of his sight? Outside somewhere I guess. We could all enjoy them and they have a natural end, no ongoing clutter but I'd need to buy a vase.

Packet of seeds in stocking for him to plant. I like this idea as it provides an activity and he can watch them grow (hopefully... some we planted this year came to nothing but we may not have watered them enough in the hot Spring we had). Maybe not the immediate "oooh" factor on Christmas morning but a slow burner gift.

I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or ideas on fulfilling this request? Flowers

Small bunch from Aldi or a little Christmas gift pot, I got each of my DCs one of these.

The seed idea is nice too, get them something they can plant for spring/summer.

Bulbs - e.g. you can get single or triple hyacinths in a pot in bud just now, which will flower in a short while - so there will be a bit of a wait, but not as long as seeds (though they are also good.)

Oh yes a little pot, hadn't thought of that, despite frequently walking past these things in shops. One to consider.

Fresh flowers and maybe a flower press? One of my favourite things ever as a child.

Flower press is a nice idea. And the bulbs too. That gives me plenty of options, when there might not be much choice left on whatever late evening I get out this week.Thank you.

Real ones - either a small pretty bunch or a pot already flowering.

My DD loved flowers at that age too - you've brought back a nice memory for me Smile. I think we underestimate how sensitive very small children can be to natural beauty.

My 5 year old asked for seeds to grow flowers from FC.

I'd get bulbs, daffodils or tulips
