Hello

We are on a budget this year, so I plan to make a medium sized hamper for them both.

I only have a couple ideas so far, being their favourite alcohol and food.

Can anyone pass on any ideas? They are aged 60, F is pretty sporty and M likes gin and is into fashion.

Any ideas appreciated.

Budget of around £50 each.

Thank you

I've done this for my parents. Spent £30 in total (including the basket which has straw, cellophane and ribbon) so lower budget but you get the idea. My mum is GF so have biscuits, crackers and mince pies she can enjoy too, plus 4 mini wine bottles, peanuts, chutney, and a few of their favourite treats.

Got my dad a private eye subscription, chocks, books and his partner a dressing gown....I struggled for ideas this year!

It's a re-hash of previous cartoons, but there's a new Far Side desk calendar out this year! My mums going to love it!

Candles, pjs, cozy socks, food and drink obviously, gin glass, books related to sport or hobbies, hand cream, gardening or home accessories like a little bird house, if you have DC a little homemade gift from them, toiletries, any accessories for DF sport

Scented candles or aroma wax, a delivery from their favorite place.
Some books about famous designers for your mom, if she is interested in that (might as well be audio books). Or a subscription to some fashion magazines. You can also make a slideshow about her favorite designer for her, just a quick video with pictures and some facts (here is a guide about that) and put the screenshot of that subscription as the last slide, thus informing her of the real gift.
A gift card of a sport store for your dad or maybe a pack of protein drink or a shaker, if he's into that. I wouldn't recommend getting any equipment unless you know exactly what he needs or wants.

Premixed cans of gin, favourite chocolates and maybe a small item of make up/skin cream that your dm likes, vogue magazine.

For your Df favourite snack/sweet, sports socks, book on favourite sports star/ sporting and bulk out with some craft beer or premixed cans.

We’ve made a sharing hamper for Dmil and Fil, basically consists of cheese, cheese board crackers, chilli jam, and caramelised onion chutney, one bottle of wine each, and a small box of chocolate truffles.

Great suggestions, thank you all!

Was shopping today and got most of the bits, thinking of having a look on groupon to see if there's anything they could do together - but unsure if there'd be much due to COVID.

😄
