Another daft turkey question if I may

HI all
After I got some great advice on here about how long to defrost my frozen turkey, I am thinking about my timeline and actually cooking it. This may be a stupid question but the frozen weight is 6.8kg, is that likely to change much once it has actually defrosted?

No, the weight won't change much, there should be very little fluid loss with today's fast freeze methods.

Are you planning on stuffing the bird's cavity? If so add in the weight of the stuffing (sausagemeat etc.) to get the total weight for calculating the length of cooking time.

No I am going to do the stuffing separately, thanks for the help!

Don't forget that you should have your sprouts boiling by 8am on Christmas Eve at the very latest!
