Christmas Day Takeaway

Given Christmas this year is all upside down we are wondering about mixing it up and having Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve and then a takeaway on Christmas Day.
But will anyone be delivering? We are in Tier 3 if that makes any difference.

Would you want to work on Xmas day?
Why not have Xmas Dinner on Xmas day and takeaway on Xmas eve

I don't think it matters whether OP would want to work on Christmas Day or not. Some takeaways near me are usually open. There is no harm in ordering food from an establishment that has opted in to open in Christmas Day!

Sounds lovely, I'd ring up first though and ask if you need to pre order

My local pub is doing takeaway christmas lunch as they need to keep their business going.
I'm ordering one as I'm on my own for christmas with my cat. I'm not spending the day cooking a big meal just for myself. Left to my own devices I'd probably just be eating corned beef straight out of the tin, I have got to that stage now.

This kind of question might be best posted on a local Facebook group than on mumsnet.

Yes, there are places across the UK and abroad that are open for takeaway on Christmas Day.

Are any of them local to you and somewhere you would want food from? No idea.

The Chinese at the bottom of my street is open all over Christmas, the Indian isn’t though.
