How to hang Christmas cards

What are you Christmas experts doing to get the string to stay up?

We are trying to hang Christmas cards on a string between two alcoves but sellotape (discreetly hidden!) is not working and they keep falling down. We don’t have any shelf / mantle space. How can we fix this?

I did try Google first but it just shows me the pegs to pin the cards to the string!

We put nails up, just one at each end. They are not obvious in out house. You can but clear hooks that have a string adhesive but are easy to remove apparently. I’ll see if I can find the link.

Like this. I bought some to do lights but haven’t used them yet. In general I trust 3M products.

We put nails up too. Well, actually we use the nails that are up holding bunting usually!

Command strip hooks. We have really small ones on the side of the door architraves (?), also on the ceiling. Make sure the ceiling ones are hanging so the open end of the hook is pointing outward.

They are pretty much invisible. DH forgets we have them. Every year.

Thank you! Have ordered the command hooks.

Really couldn’t work out what people were doing. Thank god for mumsnet!
