I'm absolutely stumped! It's such a tricky age, so much seems babyish but then other stuff seems a bit too old!

Please help! She likes crafts, horses, paw patrol

My 5yo DD loves paw patrol too and is getting one of the vehicles for Christmas. She also loves crafts, so I’ve got her some Hama beads (also glow in the dark ones), a kids cookbook and usborne sticker books - she loves the doll dressing up ones.

Other ideas that she’s loved for her recent birthday were...Lego, DIY sewing and bath bomb kits (you can get lip balm too), and a cork board with hammer/pins/shapes. And literally anything Paw Patrol; books, clothes, etc!
Good luck!

Definitely recommend the usborne Sticker Dolly books they are great and often some in the 2for£7 on amazon. What about some of the Lego friends sets? There are some that are 4+ and some 6+ may be ok for her too with a bit of help.

Books always a hit here too. As is barbie, we have got a barbie horses set for Christmas

Then there’s Claire’s accessories, bath bombs....!

Crayola Light up tracing pad

Dd got hers at 4yo and still uses it often at 9.

Yy to the Usborne sticker books. Even I love them!

My 5 year old is getting Lego frozen and Lego friends, a kiddizoom camera, sylvanians house and furniture, some racing cars and a Spirograph. Plus a massive box of craft stuff. If you have a Poundland/ One below / range nearby they do lots of crayola craft bits and kits for £1-£3.

ImAllOut · 17/12/2020 18:47

How does she like playsets? We've gone for Barbie, Polly Pocket and Lottie doll stuff, and some dress up bits.

NotExactlyMrsCurrentAffairs · 17/12/2020 19:07

Paw patrol dressing up clothes? My two used to love dressing up in pretend play at that age

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 17/12/2020 19:26

Schleich or Breyer horses and stables.

ACanOfWormZ · 17/12/2020 19:32

Polly pocket, playmobil, lego

livingthegoodlife · 17/12/2020 19:44

Barbie is super popular with this age this year.

Also crafts - Crayola washables. Cute colour in fuzzy animals that you then wash the colour off and do again another time.

imamearcat · 17/12/2020 20:02

I wouldn't get paw patrol I think that's too young. My 5yo likes any little play set type things. Disney store have a great little frozen castle it's beautiful! Play mobile, LOL dolls, make up, hair stuff, face paints. Generally craft stuff - different papers, glitter glue, nice pens/pencils, scissors etc. Bath bomb set, science set. I got DD some horse stuff from Schlech (not had that before so see how that goes down). Loads of stuff!! Oh and Lego friends

ImAllOut · 17/12/2020 20:13

The OP said her daughter likes Paw Patrol so presumably she doesn't consider it too young and it would be appropriate.

Scotinoz · 17/12/2020 21:00

My 5 year old girl still loves PawPatrol so I don’t think it’s too young.

Scented pens etc (Scentos) are popular with my girls, all craft sets, dress up, Lego, Playmobil, dolls and books too

Sam1815 · 17/12/2020 21:06

My girl is getting an our generation food truck, kindi kids dolls, some craft stuff like a loom and flower press and the new vet squad play sets. She’s also getting expansion packs for her Mario Lego and some Disney micro play sets

TildaTurnip · 17/12/2020 21:07

GeoMag is a massive hit with almost all 5 year olds.

Scanner20 · 17/12/2020 21:40

My almost 5yo has asked for enchantimals, lol, our generation doll, polly pocket and some Lego friends and cave club. Claire's is the best place for her too with bows, make up and fluffy notebooks! She also enjoys craft and making things.

Equimum · 18/12/2020 08:20

Sylvanians?
Barrie?
Crayons sets?
Simple Djeco sets?
Lego?

Ohdoleavemealone · 18/12/2020 09:37

I am getting my DD a paint sation.

thriftyhen · 18/12/2020 10:23

Riding lessons. If she loves horses, then you will never be short of present ideas, but also you may have no money left!

PeskyRooks · 18/12/2020 10:28

Spirit riding free playsets
I dig monsters
Ballerina dreamer
Hatchimals fairy flyer thing
Lego friends
Squishmallow
Playmobil haunted house
Frozen styling head
Mulan doll
These are what I've got for dds 5 & 4

showmethegin · 19/12/2020 15:49

Thanks so much everyone, got loads of ideas now!
