Amazon gift card delivered directly to recipient with message?

I'm trying to send a gift card directly to my great nephew, i'd like a physical card rather than an email as I don't want to ask for his email (he's 11).

Anyway, loads of nice card or tin type options from Amazon, I've set up his address as a delivery address, all good, but can't seem to find anyway of personalising the card or even just saying who it's come from.

Anyone managed this and can point me in the right direction or any other ideas for gift cards I can have sent directly would also be welcomed? I don't particularly want to give Amazon more money but I also don't want to send cash or give him something that ends up worthless if the company goes bust.

I'm sure there is the option to write a note just before you check out? If not, Tesco has amazon vouchers at the till you can purchase. Perhaps one of those together with a nice card and message?

You need to click the box saying 'this is a gift'. This will then give you a message box at check out

Thanks both, I want to send it direct, when I've given them before I've had them delivered to me, i've written them and then posted them again, i just want to cut out the middle man :)

Thanks, i'll try clicking the gift box, i used that recently to send a gift direct to someone in the USA by using the Amazon.com site.

I did this yesterday, there’s definitely an option- I think ‘gift message ‘ or something. There’s a default ‘enjoy your gift’ which you can edit.

yes, thanks @helpfulperson and @Notahotelorabandb That has worked a treat. Something else crossed off my list!
