Slight delivery moan - online ALDI Bah Humbug

Apologies - venting - did not want to clag up the bargain thread - I ordered a case of wine for my very elderly father on 1st Dec - ordered from my account, my email address, my credit card - had a despatch email on 3rd Dec saying it would arrive on 4th Dec - all good EXCEPT it has never been delivered & tracking shows still with YODEL.

Finally got through to Aldi customer service today - they refused to discuss the issue with me as the delivery is to my Dad !!!

I reiterated my email address, my account details, the order number , the exact details of the order & placement, my credit card details, my account details, my address & my Fathers and still they would not talk to me as the parcel was intended for my Father. My account lets my add another delivery addresss. I did say if you are sending a gift do you really expect the recipient to chase up non receipt - how does that work ? They ring up to say they havent received the gidt I sent - they havent got the order number & have nbo card details of sender !!!

Finally after about half of hour of me politely but firmly standing my ground they gave me a ticket number - apparently I have to allow 7 days from the despatch note for delivery and that is working days not Satyurday & Sundays ....so I cant query the delay until tomorrow .....

I guess I need to buy him wine from elsewhere ..

That's ridiculous! Point out to them that it is your credit card that you will be making a claim from if it doesn't show up. That might help focus their efforts.
