For the past few years at churhc we have put greetings inthe magazine with a donation rather than send cards, now I am for anything that means I don't have to write cards but the greetings in general and mine in particular are just extremely boring.

Last year four of us had put exactly the same thing!!

Suggestions for something good from me, dh and 3dcs?

Well, if people write the same thing, why not put:

" ^^ What she said ^^
From Us too"

Of course, you will have to risk that it gets put under an appropriate message, but it should be original.

My aunt wrote us a round robin xmas letter a few years ago that said "Jesus is the reason for the season". For some reason, I can't forget it.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa's on his way;
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
And every mother's child is going to spy,
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
A very Merry Christmas to you

Hmm how long does it have to be....

How about using and adapting this modern celtic blessing from Rob Lacey...

May your bed & computer be bug free
May your software never crash
May all your debts be from generous acts
May all your mistakes be from your freedom to fail
May your spillages be from having too much fun
May you only stub your toe on something you'd lost
May you only get a flat tyre when you're opposite a garage... thats open.....that does tyres.... that fit
May all your spots be from fat free chocolate
May all your blotches be from love bites - which you can hide
May all your illnesses bring you reflection & insight
May all your worries make you pray
May God calm you, disarm you
Then fight your battles for you
And may you know
Really know
That the God of grace is for you.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!

you see, I hate Christams cards and the more I can get out of either sending or receiving them the better!

I refuse to send them to anyone who I can wish a Merry Christmas to personally, and give to charity instead, and of the ones I receive I (whispers) only put the nice ones up!!!
