@TheWichitaWineOne - my DC wear there's all over the winter pj period. Then they come out again the following winter and I only buy new if they have outgrown them. They are wearing red fluffy penguin onsies for the 3rd year this winter. Sometimes I have bought particularly Christmasy pjs and sometimes just wintery ones. They still get worn all Autumn/Winter

GooodMythicalMorning · 14/12/2020 18:34

Tesco had them a few days ago.

B&m had plenty last week

Primary has matching family Mandalorian (Star Wars) pjs if that's your thing

Studio?

Are you another one of those hard of thinking people who thinks people only wear Christmas PJs on Christmas Eve and then dump them ?

Er, these are matching family ensembles. Surely adults want to wear normal nightwear the rest of the year? Like a T shirt and boxers, a slinky nightie or nothing. Why would you want to wear the same stuff as your child at any other time if the year?

Is a slinky nightie normal nightwear? I'm doing this bedtime thing all wrong! Xmas Grin

Because pyjamas are pyjamas are pyjamas and don't stop being perfectly functional pyjamas just because they match with other members of the household Grin

I don't mean this horribly but I think you'd struggle to find any retailer selling a mens 3XL and children's sizes at the best of times. You might be better looking for vaguely matching e.g. each red tartan but not necessarily exactly the same.

Sometimes! The point is not buying stuff because some marketing campaign is telling you ( or in fact your kids) that your Christmas will be better for matching nightwear.

How many adult males wear any pyjamas normally? I have never known any,

GlomOfNit · 14/12/2020 23:32

Thewinterofdiscontent mine does! Grin All the time. He gets cold, same as me. No amount of cuddling in bed stops him being cold in winter.

Different strokes, I guess. I'm not mad for the matching family ensemble PJs thing but I know lots of lovely people who enjoy it. We ourselves only get new PJs at Christmas (for some stupid reason, though the boys get summer shorties when they need them) and I try to avoid ones that are TOO Christmassy because I feel a bit depressed looking at people dressed in Christmas trees and baubles in March. We don't match and that's how we like it, but I know lots of people really love the matchy thing.

This year, DS2 has inherited so many of his brother's old PJs that I can't bring myself to buy him any new ones and he's getting some nicely laundered ones of his brother on Christmas Eve! (he's severely autistic and neither cares, nor will notice.)
