I’ve done similar. I’ve included socks, torch, multi tool gadget thing, wallet, craft beer, cable protectors and good old selection box

These are great, but I live in the U.S., and it's strange to see how different some things are while others (and our kids) are pretty similar. Here, DS 19 is not legally old enough for alcohol or gambling (scratch card), but he is definitely getting shaving stuff (I was shocked that he was actually able to grow a bit of a beard during the first part of the lockdown this spring), nuts, jerky, charging cords, and a wallet. The Canada Goose jackets are big here, too, although it has been a mild winter so far. What are chocolate sprouts?

Ellapaella · 13/12/2020 20:37

Looks great OP..
For my DS's (18) stocking I've got:
Dior Sauvage
A personalised cornish mug
Choc orange
Mint matchmakers
Badger slippers from Fatface
PJ's
Boxers
Christmas socks
Bottle of mulled cider
Charcoal face scrub and mask
Christmas bauble bath bubbles
Christmas bauble hot chocolate
Choc coins (as always)

I am always a bit elaborate with his stocking as he's always said it's his favourite part of Christmas. He has a couple of things for under the tree, mainly clothes.

Sounds good but be careful of Canada goose if you live in a city. They are being targeted by activists due to apparent cruelty, using leg traps for coyote's fur in the hoods.

I have seen a few things in the paper where they've been slashed or had paint thrown on them.

Might be fuss over nothing but check before buying,

uberraschtezwiebel · 13/12/2020 23:31

Yes I believe that the people wearing Canada goose jackets are getting targeted by activists , maybe next year they will probably not be imported if the fur ban goes ahead
Can you not coax him to be a trendsetter with a nicer product ?

treeeeemendous · 13/12/2020 23:38

Yes sorry but Canada goose are grim.

There is always people protesting outside the store in Regent Street.

Be prepared to put up with people potentially shouting at him in the street as he wears it.

RosesforMama · 13/12/2020 23:45

DS stocking, also 19

A retractable back scratcher
Socks
Shoe skunks (go in trainers to stop them stinking)
Mini tub of pringles
Can of body spray
Chocolate in the shape of a playstation controller
A wallet tool thing with a ruler, spanners etc in the shape of a credit card
A lightsaber keyring
Chocolate coins
A mini Among Us plushie (all my kids are getting one)
And a toy story blind bag (this is a joke. They get a kiddy blind bag each year, eg Bob the Builder, Thomas the tank. It's their favourite bit of the stocking they love opening them! I have 3 teen boys).

goose1964 · 14/12/2020 00:45

My son has a chocolate orange, nice ginger biscuits, a book and a shower gel deodorant set, and a bag of mints. he's 32

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 14/12/2020 00:57

Voucher for barber
Lottery ticket
Chewing gum
Bucks Fizz
Odd socks
Starbucks voucher
Chocolate orange
Double lollies

Other presents:
Trackie bottoms for after football

IOU for tickets for Hamilton

He's not getting much this year but had the bodywork on his car repaired for his birthday which cost nearly £1k and we have a holiday to Dubai booked for the summer so he won't mind.

lakesideadvent · 14/12/2020 01:24

In my US city the biggest issue with Canada Goose jackets is getting mugged at gun point for them.
Different worlds.

Sounds a good list OP.

BefuddledPerson · 14/12/2020 05:42

I hadn't heard of Canada Goose but horrible they use real fur.

Ithinkim · 14/12/2020 09:41

Canada goose get stolen here too but at knife point not gun point.

I'd be worried sick if DS wore one as we live in London where it's happening.

FinallyFluid · 15/12/2020 00:29

I hear you all re Canada Goose, but he is 19 and will not be spoken to on some subjects.

We live in a sleepy town in the HC, so please God he will outgrow it without incident.
