Last minute flap - stocking gifts for 2yo DS

Care to join me? Tonight's job was to drink mulled wine and do the wrapping. All done, but I've discovered that DS2's stocking consists of 2 pairs of mittens, a hat, scarf, toothpaste and a toothbrush.

Father Christmas brings the stockings here. But what fun, lovely for a 2yo boy can I get at this short notice?

He loves trains, Pepi Nanna, and his crayons. Help! Please?

You can get these but might be a little pig for the stocking

Fortunately at 2 he’ll have no conception of how full or otherwise a stocking should be. A fun bubble bath and a couple of things he can play with immediately will be fine

My son is 2 and I got a load of stocking fillers from Baker Ross. Look in the Christmas stocking fillers section. Delivery is 3-5 working days but if you want it ASAP, their express delivery of 1-2 days is only £4.95.

I got some kaleidoscopes (4 for £3.95) Christmas bouncy balloons, Christmas rubber ducks (4 for £2.95) etc. They do lots of arts and crafts bits but he’s not really interested in that yet.

My 2.5yo has:

5 Hot Wheels cars (his passion!)
Bouncy ball
Magic painting book
Squishy aubergine
Squishy octopus
Stressball
Chocolate coins
Small ostrich soft toy (Beanie Baby)
Some stickers
Box of dinosaur rubbers
Christmas bath duck
Bath slime/foam stuff
Some ink stampers
Small bag of bath toys from Poundland

Some presents (bath slime, ostrich, stressball, chocs, octopus and magic painting) are the same as or variations of what 6yo DD is getting, because otherwise they'd fight over them!

Home Bargains have the Moon and Me cuddly or small figurine toys for 99p each

EchoLimaYankee · 13/12/2020 08:20

DS aged 2 has: a rocket water bottle, bath crayons, hatching dinosaur egg, chocolate Santa lolly, pirate matey bubble bath. Will also add some kind of toy car to keep him happy too!

harrietm1987 · 13/12/2020 08:32

Our 2 year old has a torch, ball, magnifying glass, chocolate coins and will put a satsuma in there and maybe some new pants. He’s our eldest so nothing to compare to and he’s got loads of bigger presents so isn’t hard done by!

meow1989 · 13/12/2020 08:49

Ds 2.5 has some frozen figures, an orange and some chocolate!

Has he got a.pepi nanna soft toy? They do them in sainsbury I think and theyre not much bigger than an adult hand.

santasmincepie · 13/12/2020 11:39

Get thee to Home Bargains. They have all the Moon and Me stuff. I think the Pepi Nana figure is 49p. Certainly less than a pound.

Other than that, I'd go with crayons, stampers, stickers, and a little train to go with his train set, if he has one. And some sort of edible treat. It doesn't have to be chocolate. I've got DS some Kiddilicious gingerbread men

hiredandsqueak · 13/12/2020 12:39

dgs has a book, some trains for his railway track, a swimming penguin for his bath, a puzzle and a chocolate lollipop as well as some socks to match his mummy's and a hat and mittens.
