Christmas for the last 15 years has been me, dh, my mum, my sister, my brother and my SIL (brother's wife).
The vibe has been quite low for a while now. So I've tried to make it a little more special the last few years even if it is just buying nice seafood from Marks, games (nothing cringe haha), special cocktails, table favours.
The energy gets better when my other sister and her adult kids visit in the early evening but that won't be happening this year.
We aren't doing gifts this year as people are worried about money, which is understandable, but that means there will be even less things to do or talk about.
Do you have any ideas of how we can make it special or fun? Any specific games or treats I could get?
How do you make Christmas special when it's just adults?
I was thinking of pass the parcel with chocolate/ treats /miniatures/scratchcards etc but not sure if people will want to all touch the same thing re covid.
