Magnetic tiles toys. Any brands to go for or avoid?

I'm considering buying some magnetic construction tiles for DS2, there's soo many brands and price variations. Not sure if some should be avoided or there's a clear winner. Is it a case of you get what you pay for? How many is best to start with?

Any advice appreciated.

I got a cheap generic kit on Amazon, works brilliantly. Can find the exact name if you like. The branded Magna tiles are very expensive for what you get imo.

I’ve had branded ones and generic ones from wish. The only difference was the packaging.

We've got two sets of the Desire Deluxe ones from Amazon and are really pleased with them.

But buy a Really Useful Box or something to store them in - you'll never figure out how to get them back in the cardboard box again!

Magformers are the best in my opinion. Often have sales in their own website.

I did wonder if there was much difference. Some seem to see/feel a difference and some don't.

I sometimes see the mag formers cheap in my local tk maxx, I agree full price they seem much more costly than the others.
