What’s the budget?

Cherryrainbow · 11/12/2020 12:14

Also whats her style? Girly? Trendy? Alternative? Sporty?...

lostandfound55 · 11/12/2020 12:17

Budget could be up to £100 as dds wants very little for Christmas. She is girly and has expensive taste. She loves browsing on Louis Vuitton and Tiffany websites but they are far too expensive.

Radley.

They have a variety of sizes and styles, So big, small, girly to not girly.

Excellent quality.

Thanks, I buy radley for myself so wasn’t sure if it would be young enough for dd

I would not choose radley for a 15 year old. I’m 24 and quite like designer brands as your daughter seems to and personally see Radley as aimed at older women, 30 onwards. I would suggest DKNY or Michael Kors.

RosieGirl27 · 11/12/2020 12:25

Or even Ted Baker make nice ones in your price range.

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 11/12/2020 12:25

I'd also say Michael Korea

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 11/12/2020 12:26

Kors even!

chelle862 · 11/12/2020 12:27

Ralph Lauren? Dkny? Michael korrs? I've got a Ralph Lauren purse and it's lovely!

My 15 and 13 year olds likes the purses. The handbags etc aren’t their taste but they both found purses they loved.

Badadabing · 11/12/2020 12:28

2nd Rosie girl, not Radly! That's definitely a middle age women's purse.

chelle862 · 11/12/2020 12:28

@RosieGirl27

I'm 32 and I'd hate a Radley purse!!

lostandfound55 · 11/12/2020 12:36

Great, thanks all I’ll get looking at those suggested.

I agree with the others, Michael Kors or Dkny. Do try TK Maxx, they had boxed dkny purses for around £25/30 along with some other lovely ones. I remember doing buying DD a purse when she was that age from tk Maxx (a designer one) and saved a fortune, I filled it with gift cards for her favourite places ( just be cautious which shops you buy gift cards for right now, uncertain times in retail right now)

jinglebills · 11/12/2020 12:46

What about coach ? They are within your price range and a designer brand more known for quality. I think a bit more sophisticated than Michael Kors, but MK would still be nice for a teenager. Or maybe look at Kate Spade. Personally I'd go for Coach.

Yoshi have some lovely, slightly quirky ones if that's her thing

lostandfound55 · 11/12/2020 12:46

Thanks Mrs fussy it was your suggestion on my other post that prompted the purse buying

The gift cards in the purse is such a good idea that I've never thought of! Will remember that for next Christmas Smile

River island I would think wld be gd for that age if you don't have budget for the designer ones mentioned.

jinglebills · 11/12/2020 12:49

I don't think DKNY is a brand the kids like, I'm old myself but have young cousins. My Auntie has DKNY and my OAP mum has Radley. I have a bog standard Fiorelli purse that was given to my mum as a gift , but she didn't like it my mum is very fussy.

Brieminewine · 11/12/2020 12:53

I think Michael Kors would be the best designer option or river island for a budget option, dkny isn’t really well known now and radley is too old for a teenager.

Lightningrain · 11/12/2020 12:57

Ted Baker or Michael Kors. I wouldn’t have appreciated Radley at that age.

LionLily · 11/12/2020 13:10

A recent present to a teen of a Radley DataDog purse went down well.
