And do you get new ones every year?

Is there anyone that’s HASN'T got matching family pjs?

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 08/12/2020 12:00

No and no.
Well, the children may need a new jumper, but we keep DD1s for DD2. DH and I keep jumpers for a few years.

PJs... DH and I don't have Christmas pyjamas. Not bothering for DDs either this year, they have plenty. They are getting new ones at Christmas, but they are Harry Potter ones not Christmas (from Grandparents).

Christmastime4 · 08/12/2020 12:01

Yes I already did a thread bit someone suggested putting it on the Xmas forum.

Yes we have family pjs and new every year for Christmas Eve - not a waste though as we wear them throughout the year!

No to matching jumpers, the DC and I have Christmas tops but not matching and we’ve yet to get DH into one

Morgan12 · 08/12/2020 12:05

Nah but I don't have instagram so I suppose I don't need to.

Justme10 · 08/12/2020 12:42

I match pjs with my boys but I don't buy Christmas ones, they can be worn all winter, this year they are tartan Xmas Smile
I don't have Instagram either but the pictures in the photo albums will be nice to have when they are grown up Xmas Smile

Lovemusic33 · 08/12/2020 15:02

No, my teenagers would be mortified 😂

caperplips · 08/12/2020 15:25

No, we don't have either. We've never done Christmas pj's and one year when dd was quite young she needed a Christmas jumper for school and dh and I got one each too. He wore his for 2 years and I lost mine.

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 08/12/2020 18:17

No. Neither do I live life on SM though.

We all have our own tastes. I hate matching clothes though so would never ever do it.

Pinkandpurplehairedlady · 08/12/2020 18:19

We have matching pyjamas but not jumpers.

ShirleyPhallus · 08/12/2020 18:21

It’s one of those things that Mumsnet collectively frowns at. Along with having friends / drinking more than a thimble of wine a year etc etc.

We have Grin They’re pretty hideous but we have a new baby and I love the idea of recreating the same photo year after year.

It’s just for us. And we don’t have a grey crushed velvet sofa or will be posting this photo or one of a massive pile of presents on Facebook so I assume that doesn’t put me totally at the top of MN disapproval.

SallyLovesCheese · 08/12/2020 18:26

Same, Shirley. We started doing it because of DS! I shall re-create last year's photo this year, too.

I got DS larger ones last year so they'll last this year too. My DH wears them all year round because he likes the trousers. Plus they're long-sleeved which is cosy.

Angel2702 · 08/12/2020 18:41

Not matching ones as we don’t buy new every year, they get passed down our kids then onto nieces and nephews. We have loads of Christmas clothes between us but all different.

EwwSprouts · 08/12/2020 18:50

We don't do xmas pjs. Christmas jumpers are random for various charity days at work/school.

Figgygal · 08/12/2020 18:51

No waste of money
They do get new pjs Xmas eve but non Christmas ones

PiersMorgansYogaTeacher · 08/12/2020 18:52

No we fucking do not.

goose1964 · 08/12/2020 22:10

No, DH doesn't wear PJs and he doesn't really do jumpers but he has a Christmas t-shirt.DS1 is too big in all directions for any aimed at families.
