15-year old girl's present

My DS wants to buy his 15-Year old love interest a Christmas present but on further enquiries hasn't got a clue.

Can anyone help me out with the following:

Budget £20 ish
She likes fictional books, smellies, makeup (that's weird buying her that though I think)
Doesn't like chocolate or sweets.

Help Confused I only have lovely sons. Usually I'd buy teenage girls chocolate and give them a voucher, but this needs to be a bit more personal via me

How about a cuddly toy?
A new phone case?
A nail varnish set?
A Soap and Glory gift set.

What about a make up brush or brushes ( although I know decent ones are ££££) so might not look like a huge present - but if she knows about these things she'll know it is a good one. I think I have the princely sum of £4 on a mac gift card if it sounds like a good idea - I can DM you the code. You'd have to check it though as I've had it for a while

Just saw Matalan are advertising lots of gifts ‘for a tenner’.

She likes fiction. I would go with a book always as book shopping makes me feel safe.

What fiction books for a 15-years old girl?

What about jewellery? Other things my dds like
Succulents / house plants
Stationary
Photo frames

If its his girlfriend how about a photo of them together in a frame. Keyring. Cuddly toy.

Or generic gifts a book mark, clip on light, make up bag, brush holder, little coin purse, fluffy socks, make up brushes (real techniques are good and often on offer in your budget), pretty pens and notebooks.

Oh if you go down smellies route bath bombs (bomb cosmetics are nice for bowser or lush), my sister liked skinny dip sprays at that age and a bit older, Victoria's secret sprays are also popular for that age.

Any Ted Baker stuff

DD (nearly 15) loves face masks (not the protecting from Covid type) and would be quite happy with a selection of those. Or anything from Lush.

I'd be wary of books because there's too much chance you'll buy one she's already read or from an author she doesn't like.

ODFOx · 07/12/2020 11:40

Lush. My 16yo is getting several of her friends Lush this year.

@WokesFromHome Fiction for a 15 year old - hard to say if you don't know what she likes - but a classic which I loved as a teenager but could be read at any age "I Capture the Castle" Dodie Smith - it might even be worth lashing out on a hardback one as it is the sort of thing she might keep and read more than once - Amazon - if you don't mind using them have a couple - or a paperback one & something else to go with it ?

Lush bath bombs and garnier face packs as a pamper gift. benefit do nice gift tins, too faced is popular as well.
