Does she like gardening? If so, some unusual bulbs or seeds would be lovely.

pilates · 05/12/2020 19:49

No she doesn’t have time for gardening, she’s a workaholic.

Long matches (these are always very well revived)
Bottle of champagne
Leather notebook
Cookery book if you know what she likes

PegasusReturns · 05/12/2020 19:51

Received not revived!

White company winter candle

Mindgone · 05/12/2020 20:01

Nice scented candle gets my vote too!
Nice gin
Posh hand cream, maybe a set eg Milton Brown
Posh chocolates
Charity donation
Hand made soaps
“Quick Roasting Tin” an amazing cookbook! Tasty, easy and quick!
And maybe a decent roasting tin to go with it.

The set of 3 Molton Brown shower gel baubles. It’s a luxury product that’s fun and quite frivolous

Thewinterofdiscontent · 05/12/2020 20:17

Artisan Sloe Gin? Posh, seasonal and delicious. Try and find a small local distillery for maximum Brownie points. How nice is this one

beautiful bottle

Something rude? Maybe a bit of artwork with a “ interesting” focus.

pilates · 05/12/2020 21:10

Thanks for the inspiration ladies. I’m liking the gin bottle thewinter. Sorry for being naive but what’s the difference between normal gin and sloe gin? I’m not a gin drinker.

Lovely flowers, ideally from an independent florist

Locally produced cheese/wine/chocolates/gin/whatever

A book and a bar of posh chocolate

Thewinterofdiscontent · 06/12/2020 10:08

Sloe gin uses sloe berries to flavour it!
They are picked in the late Autumn hence it really being a winter flavour. It’s a darker gin and you drink it like port or make nice cocktails.

Great, thank you
