Gifts for nursery staff

DD had only been at nursery for a couple of months so I've not yet been in this position - do I get the staff Xmas gifts like a teacher? And if so, is it the key worker and the room leader? What about the receptionist and the manager? x

You don't have to but it's always appreciated! I worked in a nursery and we usually got cakes or chocolates handed in to share out.

My sons nursery are happy with generic boxes of chocs or biscuits etc, they then try to divide everything up so that all staff get something, including those that cover breaks etc rather than having specific key children.

I used to send in a selection of bottles of Fentimans soft drinks, totalling about £20 - they could spilt them up or give them all to the one teetotaller if there was wine given for the others.

All the parents in my DS' class have got together to buy a hamper for all the staff to share. I've also got cards for DS' two key workers with a small gift voucher for each.
