Am I the only one who doesn’t put their decorations up on the 1st Dec?

Maybe I’m still living in my childhood but I don’t recall all the lights and decks being displayed as early as they are now.
If you’re lucky enough to be able to afford a real tree why would you put it up 3 weeks before the big day so it’s all droopy by the 25th?
I’d rather indulge and celebrate the 12 days of Christmas than make it all about the run up.

Mine went up today. They'll probably come down Boxing Day or the day after.,no matter when I put them up.

I don't usually put them up this early but after the year we've all had,I thought why not?

I started putting our decs up today. Won't get our real tree til 12th. I keep our decs up til 6th Jan. We don't get sick of them as we all like them! Sad when they come down!

Mine go up on the 13th December and come down on the 6th January. I find 25 days is plenty for the decorations to be up.

Mine go up around the 15th and come down twelfth night. I love that period between Christmas and the New Year to relax and do Christmassy things . December is preparation time to me with celebrations starting around 20th.

I don't really like the modern trend for decs up in November and everything put away Boxing Day. Although I understand the early decoration this year.
