Construction toys for five-year-old girl

Can't think what to give DD3 for Christmas but she loves building things. I was wondering about Magnetix or Geomag - are they the same thing more or less? Or are there any other building type toys that a five year old might like?
I am at sea here as she has dolls and arts and crafts stuff coming out of her ears and they are her main interests.

Geomag is better than the other one, and the two don't mix well

  • geomag comes in pink !

Or Zoobs? They look interesting.

We have Geomag and DTDs love it. But now the Magnetix looks as though it has more 'different' bendy bits and stuff. Don't know whether that makes it better or not.

With the Geomag whcih can get expensive, we picked up some really cheap packs of pannels at 'The works' last year. Much cheaper than buying hte panel pack from Toys'r'us or whatever as the Panels kit has 8-10 panels and lots of rods whcih we already had lots of IYSWIM. Worth looking out for.

DTDs (now 6) also love k'nex (and kiddi-k'nex) and lego - even though lots of the kits make cars and robots rather than girly things.
