What type of scooter would you recommend?

It's for my niece, aged 8 and I haven't got a clue what to look for. I don't think she needs it to be motorised.

Looking too for a 9 year old! DH seems to think a commuting one as will be for going to school but they look very boring.

My daughter bought a wiggle scooter with her birthday money, shes just turned 9 and she loves it. Scoots to school and back everyday.

She has the flicker A3, it's great fun, don't ask how I know
