Can anyone recommend an over-door wreath hanger for a door 7cm thick?

Getting frustrated trying to find one!

Bought one that's great for internal doors, but doesn't fit over our front door. It's a wooden front door and I don't want to hammer nails in, suction/sticky hooks just fall off.

Anyone had the same issue and found one?

Or, any other clever wreath hanging strategy ideas welcome!

We use a big ribbon stuck down with duck tape on the inside. It looks great on the outside but no so pretty on the outside.

Not pretty on the inside!

Same- we have an upside down hook on the inside, and a christmas ribbon through the wreath, which goes up and over the top of the door then hooks on inside.

Ours is a proper hook screwed into the door, but command hooks would work too.

We hang it by ribbon and attach the ribbon with drawing pin in the top edge of the door as our door is wooden. therefore drawing pin is not visible on inside or outside. May only work if door is not a tight fit.

I use a ribbon, secured at the top of the door with a couple of drawing pins. Press them right down and they are pretty flush so don’t stop the door closing and the tiny holes are out of sight.

Does the duck tape pull off ok?

Fine - we have a varnished wooden door.

Sadly I don't think pins of any kind are an option. It's a fancy wooden door in a house we are renting between selling/buying! Maybe a small pin hole wouldn't show, but I'm not sure I want to take the risk 😬

Duck tape might be the way forward then... not overly worried about hallway ugliness, especially as it will just be us for a Covid Christmas Grin

I read the thread title as oven door wreath and thought maybe you are going a bit too far Grin

I have in the past hooked ribbon over the top of the door and then tied it around the letterbox surround on the inside. Now we have a command hook :)
