I always buy one real Christmas tree for one of the rooms, its all used after Christmas for kindling and firelighting once its dry, so worth the money. Usually get from a local nursery around the end of Nov, last years cost for a one just under 5 feet was almost £50, prices had gone up I was told. It was pretty poor and did not last long at all unlike most years.

So this year I was not going to pay even more, until yesterday I noticed Aldi had some real ones up to 6 feet for £14.99. Decided to chance it, even though you cannot see them as they are already in the net, but the shape of the top branches looked good, first time ever bought one like this.

Just put it up in the Krinner with water, and its fantastic! Shaped really well (you can just see where its been trimmed slightly) vey dark green and very lush branches, great shape all round (but was thinking if its a lopsided dogs dinner would put it against a wall).

So very impressed with it and for the price fantastic, Lidl also had the same size and they were £24.99

Just thought I would share

I got a small potted tree from tesco 3 years ago and its still alive. Its been put into a bigger pot and will be moved to the front of the house to get some lights on it when we get closer to Christmas
