What's your best cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie?

I just watched the Christmas Town and it was actually almost too good to fit in that cheesy Christmas category, or maybe it's the ginHmm
But what's not to like
Pretty small town that's completely covered in perfect Christmas decorations ✔️
Nice cafe where you can just walk in and make a best friend instantly ✔️
First guy you meet is the gorgeous hunk who also is smart, kind etc ✔️
Falling over ✔️
What have i missed?
Oh yes as a bonus there was a cat

Actually they had me at the cat ...🐈‍⬛

What was Christmas Town on?? I must watch.

I love Christmas Inheritance on Netflix.

goingtosnow · 25/11/2020 21:20

Seen Christmas Inheritance
But liked the Christmas Town better

It was on sky cinema

Thank you.

I also quite enjoyed A Gingerbread Romance.

I bet you've seen A Holiday Calendar.

Ooh. I just thought of another. Once Upon A Holiday.

Intothesheepfold · 25/11/2020 21:58

Mrs Miracle (not sure if Hallmark??) is pure cheese Grin

Crappyfridays7 · 25/11/2020 22:08

I love them all, the cheesier the better
Am so sad
But it’s pure escapism

goingtosnow · 25/11/2020 22:16

This list looks promising too

Love them all but The Christmas Cottage is one of my favourites

BirdyBee · 25/11/2020 22:32

I love the christmas ornament

SingleHandSue · 26/11/2020 08:04

A Very Merry Mix Up is great.

One I watched yesterday was Nostalgic Christmas which was pretty good and totally followed the usual Hallmark storyline.

Hot shot city girl returns to home town/handsome single dad/green and red decorations/wooden toys/Christmas pageant

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 26/11/2020 08:28

The Christmas Card if it hasn't been mentioned. I also love anything Christmassy with Lacey Chabert.

Mustbethewine · 26/11/2020 09:11

The two Mrs Miracle movies. Absolutely love it. And Kristins christmas Miracle. Not entirely sure if its Hallmark or lifetime but its a really cute movie.

Has anyone else noticed that it's always the woman who gives up her high flying career to settle down in the out in the sticks town which is always inexplicably full of wealthy people despite having only one source of income for the entire town

I've seen one (can't remember the title now) where the high flying man went to small town but then took the woman back woth him to the big city in the end, because is was always her dream Hmm

@Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel if Lacey Chabert is in a Christmas film then I will watch it 🙌🏻

VillageFete · 26/11/2020 23:15

Another Lacey Chabert Fan here.

Family for Christmas is fantastic (Lacey’s finest work) A Christmas Melody and also Pride, Prejudice and Mistletoe are also decent offerings from her. A wish for Christmas is worth a watch too.

There’s one called “The color of rain” that she’s in which is just absolutely fabulous and it’s a true story. It has Christmas scenes in, but not a Christmas movie.

A Christmas Snow on Amazon Prime is one of my favourites. Beautiful Christian message in it.

There’s too many to mention. I’m obsessed with them Blush

VillageFete · 26/11/2020 23:17

Oh, there’s one called “A Heavenly Christmas” that’s coming up on Movies 24. It has Will from Will and Grace in and Charlotte from Sex and the City. It’s a really good watch.

CurbsideProphet · 27/11/2020 19:16

@VillageFete I watched Family For Christmas and really enjoyed it 🙂 I think channel 5 is showing Pride Prejudice and Mistletoe this weekend 🎄
I don't have Christmas 24 anymore now that BT has dropped it, so I'm reliant on what channel 5 are offering!

CatsGoPurrrr · 27/11/2020 19:19

The Christmas Card
Snow Bride
Evie’s Christmas

thismeansnothing · 27/11/2020 19:28

Omg I love th crap made for TV Xmas films. Even though they all follow exactly the same plot but in a slightly different setting. Don't know if they are hallmark but each year I watch :-

A Christmas kiss
Another Christmas kiss (as if these things need sequels)
All about Christmas Eve
A Bride for Christmas
A family for Christmas
Instant message.
.
And I've just seen one on 5 star this week. A Christmas movie Christmas. 2 sisters are transported to a Christmas town and discover they are the stars of a Christmas movie.

Christ that will be one film to really play Christmas film cliche bingo with

Vickles20 · 27/11/2020 19:31

Hallmark is doing a free 7 day trial at the moment. Then after that it’s £4.99 a month

ChubbyBroccoli · 27/11/2020 20:16

Not all Hallmark, but so far this season I've enjoyed:

Broadcasting Christmas
The Mistletoe Promise
A Star for Christmas

goingtosnow · 27/11/2020 21:09

Just started to watch Shoe addicts Christmas... had to switch it off when they started time travelConfused

Watched Christmas in Evergreen today which was lovely! Also, not Hallmark but if anyone has DisneyPlus, then Noelle is brilliant and worth a watch. It had some really charming details in it

Justsaynonow · 02/12/2020 02:48

Could I make a request? For those of you who watch oodles of these, could you let me know the title if you notice scenes with skaters? My ds was an extra in one filmed in BC Canada in 2018 or19 and he never took note of the name. I'd like to see if I can spot him.

goingtosnow · 02/12/2020 12:44

There was Christmas at the palace that i have watched it had skating in it
And was set in made up coutry, could have been filmed in Canada
