Probably..
Roast potatoes
Sweet potato casserole (an American style thanksgiving recipe 😋)
Honey roast parsnips
Broccoli
Maybe cauliflower cheese
We’re having a chicken as there’s only going to be three - possibly four - of us. Honestly, I’m more interested in the sides than the meat (we’ll also have gravy, cranberry sauce, and Yorkshire puds, oh and stuffing and bacon in / on the bird).

davekim · 23/11/2020 18:10

I do sprouts and chestnuts, roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots, broccoli, green beans. My friend always makes cabbage for us.

We usually have a salad as part of the starter as well.

Deelish75 · 23/11/2020 18:13

Roast potatoes
Parsnips
Carrots
Broccoli
Cauliflower cheese
Roast onions cooked with the turkey.

BiddyPop · 23/11/2020 18:14

We will have roasted roots (carrots, parsnips, butternut squash and red onion) rather than plain boiled carrots.

Brussels sprouts either steamed or tossed with bacon.

Maybe cauliflower cheese.

Maybe sweet corn (depending on how fussy DD is being about other veg).

JorisBonson · 23/11/2020 18:15

Cauliflower/ Califlower cheese

Jury is out on broccoli atm. My family want it but my husband thinks we have too much veg but it's all covered in unhealthy stuff so I don't know 😂

Mashed pots
Cauli cheese
Leeks in cheese sauce
Mashed carrot and swede
Honey carrots
Parsnips
Sprouts
Peas
Caramelised onions

I think that's everything. The leftovers make the best soup in the world ever.

I'm reading all the comment though and may be adding more. I love side dishes more than the main.

Squirrelblanket · 23/11/2020 19:19

Same as every year; roasted carrots and parsnips, sprouts with bacon.

thelegohooverer · 23/11/2020 20:00

This year we are going easy with just ...
Sprouts with bacon and pine nuts
Honey roast parsnips
Cauliflower cheese
Carrot and swede mash

doctorhamster · 23/11/2020 20:17

Roast potatoes
roast parsnips
Sprouts with maple syrup and bacon
Broccoli
Cabbage

goose1964 · 23/11/2020 20:45

There's likely only likely to be 3 or us, well have roast potatoes and parsnips. Sprouts, red cabbage and carrots (the posh multicoloured ones )we don't all eat the same ones so this satisfies everyone.

Laurendelight · 23/11/2020 20:48

Roasted carrots and parsnip
Carrot and swede mash
Peas
Sweet corn
Edemame beans
And for me broccoli - which is my secret ingredient for gravies, casseroles and veg soup.

VestaTilley · 23/11/2020 20:58

Not including roast potatoes we always have:

Carrot and swede mash (so two veg there already),
Sprouts,
Parsnips,
Red cabbage,
Cauliflower cheese
