Not the kids, I want to see yours!

My kids have festive bedding, we dont as DH was somewhat of a bah humbug but this year he's said I can go ahead and get some if I want.

Clearly this late in the game stocks are running low so will probably be an amazon purchase. But I dont know which to go for!!

DD has a Matalan grey fleecy stag print duvet cover and a grey sheet (Cozee Home - QVC) with grey/grey stag pillows .

DS has a red duvet cover with white snowflakes , matching pillowcases , reverse side plain red , plain red sheet . Also Cozee Home - QVC.

Had them years . DD has her bedding put on Nov 1st .

DH and I got new brushed cotton beige/grey with a Nordic pattern, beige sheet , Amazon bargain.

Why not decorate your bed? It's the biggest piece of furniture in the room. Cosy , fun, and it will last years .

And yeah, it's A Thing .

My DC are adults BTW

NekoShero and 70isalimitnotatarget you may have just convinced me!

I bought some for the first time this year. We have fair isle, youngest DS has Christmas trees and candy canes, oldest DS has red tartan. I love them and I’ll use them for years! All from matalan.

Gosh, this is something I have never thought of! Mind you I find it enough of a chore putting up the tree 🎄
We all have white Egyptian cotton duvet covers/sheets/pillow cases.
Then a blanket or bedspread folded up at the bottom for when it's chilly.
Ours is cream cashmere that was my late mother's. It's massive & cozy. I will pretend I am in my cozy white igloo. Actually we do have a cream wooden sleigh bed, so vaguely Christmasy I suppose.
I guess I am just not that into Christmas at the moment, maybe next year.

Special Christmas bedding? This is daft , or some people have spare money to buy bedding for one use a year.

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 12/12/2020 13:05

It’s likely in use for the whole of December.

And you only need to buy one or two sets which you will keep forever, so really it’s not that daft, is it...

Honestly why do people get so uppity about this? I don’t even have Christmas bedding but I find it so annoying when people get self-righteous about it. Especially after a year I like this I think people should do whatever brings them joy (within reason, obviously).

People sure are angry about something that other people do in their own home and makes no difference to their lives whatsoever.

It's not compulsory you know, you can just not buy any.

MissEWeatherwax · 12/12/2020 14:12

Last year I bought grey brushed cotton stag Christmas bedding and used all winter until April( washed obviously)
This year I have bought a Christmas scene from Sainsbury’s and we will use all winter again!
We always change bedding to brushed cotton in winter anyway, this is just more fun!

Lovely idea for children. Wish it had been available when mine were little

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/12/2020 22:34

Primula when my DS was about 3yo I bought him a Christmas fleece from Lakeland (single bed sized , has Father Christmas climbing down a chimney) . Then had to buy one for DD Xmas Grin

They used them for years till they got their Christmas bedding ( I think DDs was Primark, woodland animals, tiny fir tree and navy tiny reindeer print before the grey fleecy ones)

DS is 21 , DD is 18 , they still have Christmas Bedding . The fleece throws have been recycled to the sofa and DD has claimed them for when she has DC .
