Maybe something personalised from not on the high street?
If it was my baby I would keep it and say Aunty...gave you that for your 1st Christmas.

But that's just me 😊

All my little nieces/ nephews have had a personalised reindeer dressing gown from me at some point - a bit like this (they’re on sale at the moment too)

Guess it maybe comes under clothes though?

First Christmas tree ornament is a nice idea or a lovely snow glove or something that can be packed away with the decorations and brought out each Christmas. You could also get some lovely picture books, either Christmas/ winter themed or not. You can get a personalised copy of ‘The night before Christmas’ on Etsy.

My baby is a bit younger than your nephew and people keep asking me what they should get her and I have no idea either. They really don’t need much at this age!

Money, paid directly into an account.

My go to for anyone aged from birth to 1 year or so is a book from the "Where's Mr/Mrs" range with a soft toy or T-shirt/pjs to match. The books have got felt flaps and pretty much indestructible. They're around £5-6 each. In the past I've given the lion book with a set of lion printed vests, the T-Rex one with a jellycat style dinosaur toy, the astronaut one with some space themed pjs and a few others. They've always gone down really well.

Personalised cutlery set?

Wedgewood do beautiful Christmas tree decorations - we got one last year when DD was a week old, as part of her Christmas present (I think it was £35)

I always think books are a good gift for little ones. Either a collection of board books for them to play with or a book full of bed time stories. My DD is 11 months and her current favourites to play with are the "that's not my..." books and the Beatrix Potter big box of little books.

A small present like a couple of books, and a voucher for the late towards a garden toy in the summer like a swing, mini trampoline, slide etc.

thank you for the suggestions! Will definitely get the first Christmas bauble 😊

Ordered this for my 9 month old niece for Christmas, ended up getting one for my daughter as well who is also 9 months. Had a quick play myself before wrapping it and it seems really good!
Kids love noisey toys, might as well be educational ha
