Ds is very hard to buy for. He is 18yo and doesnt enjoy any of the usual thing you would think of for a late teen/young adult. No idea from him either so that's no help.

So far I am getting him a weighted blanket and some running stuff (that he desperately need).

What are you geting for your ds?

Some nice running stuff, books? And maybe some cash sounds like a lovely present

lljkk · 22/11/2020 12:26

One of mine earns so buys whatever he wants for self.

The other one has expensive tastes beyond what I can afford, so she chooses nothing (!!) She doesn't actually need anything.

Baffled, too.

I'd love to be able to buy him some books but finding something he likes is so hit and miss that I've given up :(

I agree @lljkk. It's not that we are over the top with ds but he is basically very content with what he has

Decent wireless headphones if he doesn't already have them?

BearSoFair · 22/11/2020 14:16

Is he into music at all? Pocket Operator synthesizer? We got one for DS1 last year and it was a hit, he bought himself another in the range and we're adding a third this year!

He's also got a wallet, cufflinks, novelty hi-top slippers, and a grid-it organiser

HiyaMeAgain · 23/11/2020 19:38

I've got my DS (23) a monitor for his PC, guitar accessories, and a wireless charger.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 23/11/2020 23:14

A fleece? Not for running but for general wear?

ArabellaPilkington · 24/11/2020 10:18

Cufflinks a great idea!

I've got 17 yo DS some personalised ketchup (never too old for that!) , US candy box, slightly posh toiletries and some PJs. He wants clothes which he will send me links for - a bit joyless!

It's his stocking I'm really struggling with. I could fill DD (14) 's 3 times over, but his - arghhh!!!

I bought a nice watch for one of mine. Last year I bought noise cancelling headphones.
Have bought mine new trainers, all saints t shirt, football shirt, DVDs, coffee syrups, Nintendo games, Costa cards, pyjamas

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 24/11/2020 15:49

How about a mini printer for printing pics direct from his phone?

My 18 yo DS is getting
Mini fridge (plus drinks to go in it) for his room
Brand name dressing gown (can't remember the designer as I am clueless - bought as an Amazon fast deal)
Calvin Klein boxers (in the same)
Wireless charger
Mandalorian the child pyjamas, art work, pop art figure and mug (with a brownie mug cake mix)
Other pyjamas
Toiletries
Lots of packets of Percy pigs
Hugo boss trainer socks (in the sale)
Lots of things for his car
Some board games and more adult type games

Think that's it apart from stocking stuff but I've probably forgotten some bits
