Presents for 6 and 10 yr old girls

Can anyone help? I’m looking for Christmas presents for girls who are 6 and 10 years old. I’ve been told by a friend that they like makeup and perfume etc and are described as ‘girly girls’ but I’m still not sure what to get (is makeup a thing for 6 year olds?). I was wondering about something like glitter tattoo sets but I’m not sure if this is too young for a 10 year old.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. They’ve had a rubbish year and they are such lovely kids so I want to get them something they’ll like. Up to about £20 each.

Not make up but my 10 year old and all her friends LOVE tie dye kits

You can get themed lip gloss and nail varnish, such as Disney Princess or Frozen. Also nail stickers.

You can get craft/science kits for making bath bombs, perfumes etc as well.

Second tie die kit to share and a few T-shirt’s each.

Bath bombs making kits are popular too.

My DD is 9 and I think she'd feel herself too old for the glitter tattoos.
Bath bomb making sets are a good call.
My DD loved So Bomb. Also a fan of So slime kits.
I like Next for girl/teen fragrances.
We are a bitHmm with the science kits we've received in the past. Often involves having to go out looking for certain 'ingredients', activators etc that aren't included in the pack ( you may have sheets of geletine in your cupboard. We did not. Likewise a certain yeast.)

Thank you all so much! Some brilliant suggestions here abs I love the idea of make your own bath bombs or tie dye kits -they would never have occurred to me.
Would a glitter tattoo kit be OK for a 6 year old?

Pjs, mine love the pair they get from their great aunt each year. Furry ear muffs, hats and mittens sets.

Someonesayroadtrip · 22/11/2020 12:20

I noticed M&S had some frozen make up sets. Claire's Accessories is also great for that type of thing.

My 6 year old is into LOLs 🙄 babies, our generation, friends Lego and polly pockets.

mamawithfive · 22/11/2020 12:24

I’d go to Claire’s accessories.
My girls are 7&8, and would spend ages buying in there!
Lip glosses, hair accessories, cat ear head bands, beanie boos, fluffy sleep eye masks, lip balm keyrings, jewellery!

Loom bands, candle making set and slime making sets always go down well with my dds who are 6,9 and 10. Yes glitter tatoos are fine for a 6 year old but they are hard to wash off

Glitter tattoos great for 6yo.

barbiemummy20 · 22/11/2020 19:50

Instaglam brand is great for 6 year old my DD has asked for the Evie one x

Nonamesavail · 22/11/2020 20:02

Mine had some lovely nature tattoos one year . They went down well.

foodtoorder · 22/11/2020 20:19

Def glitter tattoo kit, my girls sound similar and they love it and it's not messy.
My 7 year old wants the tybo tie dye kit, also claims not to be messy too.

Both under £20 each

CoffeeChocolateWine · 22/11/2020 20:19

I think glitter tattoos is a good call for a 6yo. My DD would have loved that at 6.

She’s nearly 9 now and likes a bit of make up - mainly nails. She asked for the Cool Maker Nail Salon (sorry, not letting me link but it’s on Amazon) which is £20. I was a bit Hmm at first but when it was delivered it actually looks lovely and suitably ‘wow’ for a 9/10 year old!

foodtoorder · 22/11/2020 20:20

Also agree the instaglam dolls/make up thing. All over the tv adverts and they were £10 on Amazon

CoffeeChocolateWine · 22/11/2020 20:21

Bath bombs and slime also a great shout.

Nonamesavail · 23/11/2020 08:09

I just got some instaglam dolls on the back of this thread.
