Lemax village appreciation thread (with pics please)

Dh has got his village down from the loft today. I remember last year we had a lovely thread of everyone's villages so I thought I'd start one....will post a picture later after the big 'switch on'

Following, I don't have one but want one!

Hah I pretend to despise ours because it's tacky as hell but actually I kind of like it.

Oh I love the lemax village! Our new local garden centre has a full built one and we've been to see it at least 5 times! I was considering buying one piece a year, until I saw the price.... And also we have nowhere realistically for it to go. Sigh....

But I love going for a good ogle. (I pretend I'm taking my toddler to see it....)

I love my lemax even though it’s tacky.
I don’t have a village yet as I only have a few pieces but my girls love choosing a new addition each year.
This year they decided on the cinnamon swirl house

I tried to start a collection last year with a modest selection of pieces making up a little Christmas village scene, because I find them really lovely in other people’s homes, but I really couldn’t cope with all that twee-ness - it just didn’t work in our space. So I sold it all a week later on eBay for half of what I’d just paid for it. 🙄😭

I bought some Kâhler Urbania candleholders instead which are more in keeping with my style and still very cosy...

But I’d love to admire others’ villages on this thread!

I do have one little lemax fir tree that I bought this week which I’m going to use to set my gingerbread house scene.

I have a village, it's an old Costco one my parents had and I love it so much. It makes Christmas for me. Loving this thread

Place marking, I’ll post a picture of mine when we put it up (6thDec) we just bought a new carousel for it! Nothing says Christmas like a Lemax village!
