DS2's will be 14 in December so double nightmare re trying to find presents for him.

He has inherited his older brothers books, games etc and so he's always difficult to buy for.

Any ideas please?

Watching with interest....I could have written this exact post!

TechnoDino · 21/11/2020 08:51

Doea he have an iphone? If so, airpods or an older model apple watch.
New fancy trainers or gifts related to a hobby or interest.
Your older sons may have some goid ideas?

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 21/11/2020 08:52

Yes, ideas please. A new phone is a good idea!

BinkyandBunty · 21/11/2020 08:55

Have you asked him? My 15yo could give me a list of 20 things he wants without stopping for breath!

justthecat · 21/11/2020 08:55

PlayStation, gaming chair, lava lamp, new clothes, favourite sweets/ choc

justthecat · 21/11/2020 08:56

New games for PlayStation

DuckyMcDuck · 21/11/2020 09:16

I have asked him and he can't think of anything!
He got a new phone in the summer and doesn't want AirPods as 3 of his friends have recently been mugged for theirs Sad

He insisted on buying the new FIFA game for the Xbox last month with his own money and doesn't really want to play any other games.

It's harder this year because usually he spots things in the shops but obviously we haven't been. His birthday is only a couple of days after this lockdown will (theoretically) finish so unlikely he'll get a chance to do that.

Do appreciate the ideas and it looks like I'm not alone in this problem (waves to @Lotsachocolateplease) so keep them coming please

My ds has got a newish phone, I think he’d love AirPods but would lose them!
I’ve got him a few clothing bits but am stuck for Christmas ideas - I’m actually sorted for his birthday in the 13th - he’s having a hammock!!! And some new van trainers he’s asked for.
Lava lamp is a good idea @justthecat and actually something that’s in my amazon basket for him!
@DuckyMcDuck is hard when they get their older brothers hand me downs isn’t it?!

DuckyMcDuck · 22/11/2020 21:11

It certainly is.

The best present we ever bought was a multi-games table with snooker or pool table/table football/table tennis layers. Our living room isn't big enough for it to be up the whole time so it folds away. Boys love it and it's lasted for years.

Have just bought an iphone stand from Amazon which DS 12 was after, liked it so much bought one for myself (it was sturdy and collapses so can imagine taking it to work etc but can't use until DS gets his one)

Overseasmom100 · 22/11/2020 22:48

BrieAndChilli · 22/11/2020 22:53

Can i join this thread. Desperately need some inspiration.
DS1 is also going to be 14 in December!

He doesn’t want any new video games, phone isn’t due an upgrade for another year, doesn’t want AirPods, isn’t into labels so clothes wouldn’t be viewed as a present as he’s happy in Asda joggers and really doesn’t see labels as anything. Is not into sports at all, doesn’t even really support a football team or play football.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 22/11/2020 22:56

Ds is now 15. However last year for birthday & Xmas:
Hover board
Archery kit (if you have the space)
Rugby boots
Joggers
Wireless headphones (no iPhone so android version of airpods - which work on Dh's iPhone & were £40)

allthingsred · 25/11/2020 08:41

@CoffeeBeansGalore where did you get the archery kit from. My son would love one but I wouldn't know where to begin
