"feeding" shop bought Christmas cake

This year I've bought a large Christmas cake from Lidl. It doesn't have marzipan or icing as I want to do that part myself. It looks pretty moist but was hoping I could still feed it with brandy myself. Has anyone done this? Worried I may ruin it but can't stand dry fruit cake.

Sorry just realised you posted a few weeks ago, did you do it?

This is good to know, I was wondering the exact same :)

@Sneezeandooops
Sorry I didn't know anyone had replied! Going to try it today! Thank you.
