Camera to video Christmas.morning?

Total technophobe! Love watching family videos back and would love to set up a camera in the room (hands free) that would record video of the kids , ideally one with sensors that would follow them round room. Leaving is both hands free and not holding phone to record. Does this exist?

Not so much follow the kids round the room. But DH set up our video camera on his camera tripod to record DS1 while I was in hospital with DS2.
I didn't want to miss out completely and he didn't want to be holding the camera

something like this rather than buy a new camera

Search for a powered gimbal.. they’re pricey but DH has one and it will follow people as they move etc.
