I am having a big clear out of outdated toys befor Christmas so they do need new things and 2020 has been a crazy year so you know Halo

Litebritesnow · 18/11/2020 16:41

My daughter is nearly 5 and she has asked for basically everything she’s seen.

She has - between birthday and Christmas -

Blo pens fashion designer set
Present pet (desperate for this)
Poopsie large rainbow doll
Various craft sets - paint own unicorn, jewellery, bath bomb maker.
Cave club T. rex and doll
Slime making set
Barbie chelsea fun fair
Barbie playground
Elsa and Anna - singing dolls
Styling head
Gotta go flamingo
Na na na backpack doll
Some books
Hamper full of beauty / bath things because she likes to pretend to be at a spa
Large box full of many many types of blind bags / surprise toys because that’s what she loves most - there are shopkins, lol, hatchimals, twisty pets, poopsies, uni-verse, lots and lots of those sorts of things.

bookworm14 · 18/11/2020 16:47

For DD aged 5:

American Girl doll (shockingly expensive but she has repeatedly asked for one and I know she will play with it a lot)
Our Generation clothes to fit AG doll
Sylvanian Families grocery shop
Small Barbie house

Plus usual small stocking items (LOL, book, chocolate coins etc)

From other people she is getting Lego, kiddizoom camera, large LOL surprise thing, Fail Fix doll, books.

Hi, I'm new here and got a question.
Do you give your kids gifts you bought all from "Santa" or partially from Santa and the rest from mum&dad?
I'm from abroad where we celebrate Christmas slightly different. My British husband is hopeless and he answered my question "depends..."

Last year I didn't think very well and gave our DD all gifts from Santa and nothing else from us.
I just saw someone's comment above and realised maybe I should divide gift from Santa and mum/dad Hmm

Thank you.

Anpanmum · 19/11/2020 12:06

For my nearly 5yo DD

Lego bricks 1500 pieces
Sylvanian family Ferris wheel set
Animal encyclopedia book
Disco light and disco bulb
Olli ella medium luggy
Grow in the dark star stickers

spacefrog35 · 19/11/2020 12:16

Lego, a camera, bath bombs & a strong girls t-shirt from muthahood Grin

Parbor · 19/11/2020 12:17

Mine has

Anna dress and washimals vet from us. Also half a seesaw (shared with little brother)
Play doh and an avengers puzzle from siblings
Cushion that opens up into a hoodie blanket from Father Christmas
Some books

And also a stocking from Father Christmas (sweets, small £1 craft kits, a few small toys...)

Whatthebloodyell · 19/11/2020 12:49

@Anpanmum I don’t make a big deal about who the presents are from tbh. We talk about Santa and get excited about him
Visiting, but on Christmas there are presents in the small stocking and some presents piled up and we don’t make a distinction between what is from us and what is from Santa. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Parker231 · 19/11/2020 12:58

DC’s are older now but at that age Lego, garage with a lift for the cars and activity sets were their most played with toys.

Anpanmum · 19/11/2020 14:48

@Whatthebloodyell
Thank you. I think I will do the same this year. Don't make a distinction.Smile

KitKat1985 · 21/11/2020 19:16

So glad I've found this thread.

Really struggling with ideas for 4 year old DD. What with her having all of her older sister's hand-me-down toys, plus just having had her birthday a couple of weeks ago, I've really been struggling to think of new ideas for Christmas!

SillyOldMummy · 21/11/2020 19:36

Osmo is fantastic, you'll get years of use out of it.

AldiAisleofCrap · 23/11/2020 15:23

LBOCS2 · 23/11/2020 15:39
@LBOCS2 the flamingo is out of stock everywhere.
Ah well, she won't be getting one of those then 😁

AldiAisleofCrap · 23/11/2020 17:28

@LBOCS2 I was quite relieved actually, I told my six year old the elves had run out and they couldn’t get anymore in the North Pole due to Covid restrictions. She accepted that 🤣

musicalfrog · 23/11/2020 17:46

Blimey, glad i got the flamingo when i did. I would have been in trouble. Well, Father Christmas would have.
