Airpods - are they worth it if you have an Android? (Huawei)

Evening all,

My husband has been using a knock off Amazon version of airpods for quite a while for running. They're a bit temperamental charging but he loves the ease of them (he runs in traffic-free areas).

So I was thinking of getting some Airpods, only thing is he has a Huawei which I think is an android(!?) I see they can be used with Huawei, but would love to hear from anyone who has tried them?

I have an iPhone, but they are fab in terms of use. Held off for ages as thought they were waste of money, but SO good for running and work zoom calls etc. Really pleased with them. Some people don’t get on with the shape of the ear bud, but I always have so they’re perfect for me. Highly recommend!

I'm android and have a pair of imitation airpods that were £30 on amazon and they work really well. I could replace them 5 times over before is spend the same as airpods so I'd say definitely don't bother.

I also have some cheapy Amazon ones and they're fine.

I can't see what benefit I'd gain from a similar product to what I've already got but five times the price.

Thanks all. Perhaps you could let me know which ones you have from Amazon? The problem is the charging, he's had the same thing with two pairs now.

I have some £16 ones from Amazon and they’re fab. Can’t see how airpods could be any better really.

I have thought the same. I have overear headphones which are excellent and I don't use them for exercise, but people I know who do rave about them. They all have iPhones though!
