I am looking for a handful of books for ds stocking, either 5 or 6 seperate books or a box set and a seperate book for variety. Thank you in advance

Just bought my nearly 10yr ds the first book in the 'ranger apprentice' series, had some good reviews from kids. There are quite a few in the series

What type of things does he read already?
My 11yo loves Skulduggery Pleasant, Alex Rider, Artemis Fowl, Percy Jackson, Magnus Chase etc

I’m getting DS an Artemis Fowl set. He’s currently reading the Percy Jackson books. The biggest hit of the summer was Goodnight Mr Tom, which I also loved!

Books my nearly 12yo DS has enjoyed recently are:
Lockwood and co (he’s loving these books at the mo)
Itch
Maze runner series
Boy at the back of the class
Roll of thunder hear my cry
Who let the Gods out series
Skellig
Ross Wellford books

Another vote for Artemis Fowl, Alex Rider and Skulduggery Pleasant (DS's favourite set for a while)

My 11yo DS loved The Hobbit and is currently reading LOTR.
Also enjoyed Percy Jackson, Shadow Hunters, Taron Matharu - Summoner series, Alexandra Bracken - The Darkest Minds.
Also Darren Shan, Goodnight Mister Tom and The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time.

My 10 yo reads a lot. I would look at; percy jackson (this was also the series that got my reluctant dyslexic now teen reading); Artemis Fowl ; Magesterium series. Of the classics maybe treasure island?

I highly recommend Chestnut Books for this. The lady is lovely and will pick a bespoke selection of books for you, to whatever your desired budget, based on the age and interests of your child. She'll also run her selections by you to ensure you don't receive duplicates of any books he already has.

Lots of kids in my 11 year old's class are reading The Hunger Games and Noughts and Crosses set.
Also big fan of Percy Jackson and the other Rick Riordan sets. My nephew (10 but advanced reader) is reading the Divergent series.
