please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Whydidimarryhim · 15/11/2020 08:07

Wow - Aldi have over 73,000 in the queue!!

shipperssss · 15/11/2020 08:07

@WisestIsShe

Can anyone suggest the cheapest way to send small parcels to Ireland please? DM sent her d sis a woolly hat and it cost £8.50 with royal mail!
We use parcel monkey maybe 4 times a year to send large parcels to my sister and her family. They're the cheapest, quickest and definitely the most reliable we've tried. They've been there over 10 years so we've tried a few.

They also pick up from your house at a specified time.

I used to buy Doc Mcstuffins merch from the Disney stores but like you say this was a while ago

HoHoHolyMackerel · 15/11/2020 08:09

Does anyone know of ikea are doing their Christmas trees this year? I assume not as haven't heard. We live close to one and usually drag DS1 to pick one, I have ds2 this year so shame if not anyinentseen any good deals on trees delivered or click and collect?

TheSilentStars · 15/11/2020 08:10

Namechanged and missed about 3 threads with real life and work. Chuh!
Yankee Candle big Christmas gift set is on early Black Friday today at £27 instead of more than twice that. I get it every year as an early Christmas present for me!
It has a medium jar, a small jar, votives, tealights and a couple of the decorative bits and bobs. Comes in a fab box that I reuse for my ribbons and tags!

DelurkingAJ · 15/11/2020 08:14

@Yeknom we got a pile of Brio Thomas trains a couple of years ago from an eBay seller. Could pick which ones. Some are a little beaten up but DS2 (then 3) certainly didn’t notice!

smartiecake · 15/11/2020 08:17

Givealittlebit · 15/11/2020 08:21

myhobbyisouting · 15/11/2020 08:22

An item in my Hamlets order arrived damaged. Very fast response from customer services, very impressed.

WisestIsShe · 15/11/2020 08:27

Thanks @shipperssss I'll have a look now.

Lovemusic33 · 15/11/2020 08:27

I won't be queuing for the carrots, have bought them previously years and we have the giant one that takes up half of dd's room. Im sure dd would like the hedgehog but several other shops are selling similar hedgehogs. Does anyone know if they will have Kevin the carrot fabric like last year?
I need to go to aldi to buy the fake baileys but I think I will leave it a few days, can't be doing with queuing.

Christmascaker · 15/11/2020 08:30

Some people returned their amazon fake oodies as it was thin & not v good quality. I bought them for my dd & dn from Next. I'm happy with the quality and it's v generously sized, I'm 5"2 & the girls 11 - 13 size fit perfectly. I paid £20

Didyeaye · 15/11/2020 08:35

@Rosie2000 I second that about Hamleys customer service. I had an issue with vouchers lately. When I scratched the metal panel it also scratched off the voucher code. They replaced the vouchers then when I went to use the replacements I had to go through a password reset after submitting the codes. After the password resets the codes disappeared and when I tried to re-enter the site told me the vouchers had already been used Confused
They then asked me to submit the order and they would refund the voucher value but in the end they have refunded the entire order value!
So it was a faff but I think I’d order from them again based on their service!

PinkJam · 15/11/2020 08:35

Melissa and Doug smoothie blender set is deal of the day on Amazon for £17.49

Rosie2000 · 15/11/2020 08:38

@Didyeaye yes I’d use them again. Think they might be overwhelmed with orders at present so easy to make mistakes.
Glad you got your order sorted Smile

Yeknom · 15/11/2020 08:40

Thanks @DelurkingAJ, I've managed to buy some off so,some on fb marketplace who'll be popping them in the post to me Smile. I've also ordered two off aliexpress to test the quality but they probably wo t arrive until the NY.

@DInosaurOfFire BargainMax have the barbie dreamtopia folding castle half price, I also have the one from Sainsbury’s (but 2 dds!) and saw this one yesterday and seems similar, doesn’t look like it comes with a doll but they have quite a few dolls reduced too.

ArthurChristmas2 · 15/11/2020 08:48

@HoHoHolyMackerel they definitely are but when they have them will be dependent upon where you are as they are not essential! So I think 2 Dec in England and a week earlier in Wales. I have my fingers crossed!
